| The aims of the Society of Canary & Finch Breeders (as a non-profit, avicultural organization) are to promote the development, improvement and breeding of Canaries and Finches; to assist those engaged in the care and breeding of birds; to exhibit at accredited shows; to sponsor an annual show; and generally, to foster appreciation for, and extend knowledge of such birds. |

| Most Type Canary Breed Clubs |
- Club meetings are typically scheduled for the third Saturday of every month. Reminder
notices are mailed to members approximately two weeks before each meeting or event.
- Membership applications are reviewed and accepted by the Executive Board then
submitted to the membership for a majority vote.
- Parties interested in club membership are encouraged to attend club meetings to
familiarize themselves with the current membership!
